The Ardmore Development Authority and Amethyst Research, Inc. are instrumental partners in the formation of a statewide association to promote the growing sensor industry ― the Oklahoma Sensor Alliance. Other partners in the development of this association include the Oklahoma State University Center for Innovation and Economic Development, the University Multispectral Lab, the Ponca City Development Authority and the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.

Amethyst hosts Business After Hours, a monthly networking event sponsored by the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce. Attendees toured the laboratories and experienced infrared first-hand through an activity with night vision binoculars.
Amethyst and the Ardmore Development Authority (ADA) attended the National SBIR Beyond Phase II Conference in Atlanta to develop collaborations for Amethyst and possible new companies to locate in Ardmore as a result of these collaborations. The event brought together current SBIR Phase II companies (Amethyst is one), key technology and acquisition personnel from government and industry to enable the transition of SBIR-funded research and development into products for military, government and private sector commercial markets. The event was hosted by the Department of Defense. Amethyst operated a booth at the event.
